eibPort Music Control
eibPort brings music to your ears
By eibPort Version 2 you can stream music from a central mp3 server or internet radio to the whole building. Control by the web visualization or by any EIB sensor the functions play, stop, pause, skip, back, volume up, volume down and choose playlists.
The music is sent from the server to the hardware clients by the building’s network (LAN). The clients can be connected to a variety of loudspeakers.
Messages and Alerts
Acoustical messages and alerts are audible in the whole building. Recognize there is someone at the door by any mp3 file or a sound - even on the terrace. At a smoke alert at night all residents will be awakened by loud sirens.
Cost-efficient solution
The mp3 server software from slim devices is free. The hardware clients are very cheap and compact devices with a display for e.g. indicating the current song title. By using the network you save the costly laying of loudspeaker wires. The control of the functions can be done by the EIB installation.
Function
The mp3 server and the clients are connected to the LAN. The eibPort is linked to the LAN and the EIB. In the eibPort editor a music control element is inserted and the Groupadress with the corresponding control function (Start, Stop, next Title etc.) is entered. That's all! Now all functions can be controlled by the visualization elements or by any EIB sensors.
