Description eibNode

eibNode is an intelligent gateway for LAN and EIB. The device provides the following functions:
- control functions
- coupling of singular EIB lines via LAN (fast backbone with 10 Mbit/s)- handling of virtual group addresses
- guarantee of the EIB facility functions at breakdown of the connected visualisation control center
- supply of the EIB facility states for the visualisation control center via address state table
- line overlapping EIB programming (iETS not necessary)

LAN-coupling:
eibNode can be flexibly integrated as line coupler/area coupler replacement at any position in existing plants.
On the LAN side up to 10 000 telgrams per second can be sent.
The device permanently stores the states of all 65 000 EIB group addresses in the address state table. It supports filter tables.
The device may also be used as line extension via LAN coupling.

Data recording:
eibNode can store up to 30 000 telegrams in a ring buffer. The device permanently stores the states of all 32 766 real EIB group addresses and of all 32 768 virtual group addresses in the address state table which allows the analysis of the data via the time stamps.

Open interfaces:
ActiveX component: supports free access to the EIB data traffic.
bcon dll: the dll can be integrated into the software bcon (LapView) and supports the access to the eibNode/EIB.
Open OPC: Connection to the Open OPC 2 software from the company NETxAutomation. The software provides a secure and stable OPC server for any OPC clients.

Hardware properties:
The device has no fan. Energy consumptin < 5W.
It is designed for assembly in standard distributions. The RJ 45 connector for the LAN connection is at the bottom side. The bus clamp for connecting to the EIB is at the upper right. The auxilliary supply is connected via screw clamps at the upper left.
